Flat wide anvil is great for scythe repairs or traditional peening with the narrow hammer nose. The anvil from us is hand polished to mirror shine. The edges are rounded to prevent scythe damage. The surface has lentil shape.
Anvil weight: 400 g.
Material: C45 high carbon steel hardened to 50-55 HRC.
In our own practice, we do not use this kind of anvil for peening. We find the narrow anvil and hammer flat to produce superior results.
